Otovo to acquire EnergyAid and its solar service subscription model

  • March 03, 2026
In order to become a leader among all residential solar service providers, Otovo announced that it will acquire EnergyAid for $10 million, a major residential solar repair provider in California, Arizona, and Nevada.

EnergyAid is a recently highly anticipated solar service brand that deals with abandoned solar systems after major residential installers went bankrupt. EnergyAid has taken over orphan systems from Suntuity, Titan Solar Power, Sunworks, and Solcius. The company offers a service subscription plan that focuses on diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and system upgrades. Approximately 2800 customers have signed up for the subscription service.

This acquisition will be an important milestone for Otovo's expansion in the United States, immediately adding scale to three high growth solar markets while bringing tremendous value to EnergyAid's extensive customer relationships, "said John Berger, CEO of Otovo. EnergyAid's established operational scale provides immediate scale in California, Arizona, and Nevada, while their extensive customer database creates significant long-term value. ”

EnergyAid has always been committed to solving problems for solar homeowners who have no other way, "said Nick Sherman, CEO and founder of EnergyAid. Otovo embodies this customer-centric philosophy, and they have established a technological infrastructure to provide this service on a large scale. We have jointly created a leader in residential solar energy services, a company that can serve customers with the same quality and responsiveness. ”

EnergyAid will be integrated into Otovo's service business. Combined with Otovo's recent acquisitions, this transaction should make Otovo a leading pure residential solar services company in California and lay a solid foundation for growth in Arizona and Nevada. Otovo will strive to convert EnergyAid's vast customer base into its subscription service.

Otovo just established itself in the United States three months ago, founded by the former CEO of now bankrupt Sunnova. The company's Endurance platform utilizes artificial intelligence to diagnose system issues and dispatch qualified technicians in real-time. This intelligent network coordinates on-site teams, service vehicles, and home energy systems to provide quick solutions. Real time customer tracking ensures transparency throughout the entire service process, while intelligent routing technology maximizes first-time resolution rates and reduces travel time for technical personnel.
